There are a number of organisations that can provide meals to adults and older people who have difficulty in preparing a meal in their own homes. You do not need an assessment from Adult Social Care Services to access these services. However, if you also have other needs you may want to contact Social Care Direct on 0345 850 3503.

There is also the options to build meals exactly how you like them as we know everybody has their own likes and dislikes.

They offer a wide range of nutritious, healthy, balanced, tasty and enjoyable meals. The range of meals are suitable for diabetics and they offer a wide range for gluten free diet and other dietary requirements. All meals are delivered to the customers home and can be put in the freezer by your caring, friendly driver if required. Meals can be cooked in the microwave in about 8-10 minutes or in a conventional oven.

Meals on Wheels 

They offer a meals delivery service Monday to Friday lunchtimes.

All their meals are freshly cooked in their 5 star kitchen and served on a porcelain plate hot and ready to eat.

Meals can be ordered daily, weekly or monthly and only need to be ordered by 9am each day. They are delivered between 11.30am and 1.30pm.

Payment can be made in cash daily or weekly or by bank transfer monthly.

They deliver to Lupset, Flanshaw, Darnley, Thornes and parts of Horbury and Ossett.

This family run business provide a hot, chilled or frozen meal service to elderly or vulnerable clients, delivering directly to the customers. They can alter our meals to suit individual needs and preferences, including special dietary requirements, they have regular delivery drivers that will check on you and be a friendly face when delivering. 

Care Kitchen has been working in and around the Barnsley area, and they are now expanding to Wakefield.
