The following outcomes align to people with lived experience, and their wishes and wants for the service they recieve:

“We would like a standard of training for care workers delivering ‘hands on support’, with the preference that training is done in person, not online. With this to be monitored to ensure care providers are following the standards.”

Through new contracts we can review and refresh the expectations of contracted providers in relation to induction and training of care workers.

“We want improved and efficient monitoring of the quality of care provided. Ensuring accountability and proactive responses to concerns and issues in quality.”

We are increasing resource within the team to provide the capacity to shift towards a proactive quality assurance process.

“We want investment into the awareness of care values, and for increased vocational opportunities to develop the next generation of social care workforce.”

Working closely with local colleagues and nearby universities, we will be able to draw interest into work placements and raise the benefits of working in the care sector.

“We want better signposting, and support, to self-service access to information about social care within Wakefield.”

Furthering our use of platforms, such as Connect to Support, and delivering a ‘no wrong front door’ model, we will provide a wholistic approach to information on social care.

“We want better communication on what is available and 'what is going on' within Wakefield, as opportunities to access support or information days.”

Service directories will help organisations advertise what is available to people and provide a single point of information and signposting for preventative and ‘paid for’ social care services.
