Accessibility

The following outcomes align to the commissioning service:

Improve awareness of services that can support people

Development of the existing service directories on Connect to Support could offer members of the public, people with lived experience, social workers and providers, especially ISF providers, wider knowledge of the care and support available.

Improve access to information and engagement opportunities for care providers

Creation of a new provider zone, on Connect to Support, could provider a front facing, ‘one stop shop’ for provider information and engagement through the Care and Support Commissioning Team.

Proactive quality monitoring in relation to care provision

Increase the resource within the Quality Team will allow more capacity to shift to a proactive quality assurance approach, with support with monitoring development from the wider team.

Increase awareness of seldom heard voices

In line with the Council’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion priorities, development of EDI monitoring returns with providers will help us understand existing scope and also provide a analysis of the gaps in the market.

Outcomes and the Wakefield Pound

Through our market shaping and commissioning activity, we will continue to deliver and look to improve upon existing work priorities to provide value for money, high quality care, to ensure good outcomes for people that need care and support across Wakefield.
