Charities

Scope is a disability equality charity in England and Wales. They provide practical information and emotional support to disabled people. They also campaign to create a fairer society. Visit the Scope website to find out more.

Open Country is a Yorkshire charity that was set up 30 years ago. They want to ensure that anyone with a disability can access and enjoy the countryside.

Age UK aim to promote the wellbeing of all older people and aim to make life more fulfilling and enjoyable. They provide a Home Support Service which supporting people to remain in their own home and to live as independently as possible.

Disability Sport Yorkshire promotes sport and active recreation for disabled people. They aim to improve the health and wellbeing for disabled people by engaging them in sport on a regular basis.
