Movement & Exit Sensors
Movement Sensors
A telecare movement sensor is a device used in telecare systems to detect movement, often utilizing passive infrared (PIR) technology. Linked to other devices it can also highlight periods of inactivity which could indicate ill health.
Exit Sensors
A property exit sensor is a device, often used for vulnerable individuals, that helps monitor when someone leaves their home and may potentially be at risk. It typically combines a Passive Infra Red (PIR) motion detector and door contacts, and can be programmed to trigger an alarm if someone leaves at an unusual time or doesn't return within a set period. The alarm can alert a carer or a monitoring center.
